Activated Alumina desiccant is a ceramic compound that is highly porous. It can absorb both gases and liquids without changing form or disintegrating. Activated Alumina can have a surface area greater than 300 m/2 and can achieve dew points of -40°F to -100°F.

Activated Alumina desiccant can be regenerated to its original adsorption efficiency by heating to a temperature between 350 - 600°F. Regeneration of the Activated Alumina is commonly done with the use of a heated regenerative air dryer.
