Description

Our AIRTEK / Parker PDA-1/8-50 activated alumina desiccant equivalent is the same 1/8 inch Activated Alumina Desiccant. This is a 50 pound bag of high-quality and dust-free desiccant that has worked very well for all of our customers. Millions of pounds served with zero returns.

Activated Alumina desiccant is a ceramic compound that is highly porous. It can absorb both gases and liquids without changing form or disintegrating. Activated Alumina can have a surface area greater than 300 m/2 and can achieve dew points of -40°F to -100°F depending on the operating conditions of the dryer. The 1/8" Activated Alumina desiccant is recommended for use in liquid dehydration and other mass transfer limited adsorption applications.

Our aftermarket AIRTEK PDA-1/8-50 Activated Alumina 1/8" Desiccant is the most common size of activated alumina beads used today. The Activated Alumina desiccant that we supply is most often used to remove moisture from compressed air or gas lines with the use of a compressed air dryer or natural gas dryer. Activated Alumina has other uses such as the removal of acids from transformer oils, lubricating oils, and refrigerants.

Activated Alumina desiccant can be regenerated to its original adsorption efficiency by heating to a temperature between 350 - 600°F. Regeneration of the Activated Alumina is commonly done with the use of a heated regenerative air dryer.
